Prayer of Thanksgiving

Father God, I enter Your gates with thanksgiving and Your courts with praise (Ps 100:4) and I come before Your presence with the fruit of my lips, giving thanks to Your name, and I make a joyful noise unto You with psalms, and I bless Your name (Ps 95:2).

Every morning and evening I stand to thank and praise You, Lord (1 Chron 23:30) and even at midnight will I rise to give thanks unto thee, because of Thy righteous judgments (Ps 119:62). I offer unto You a sacrifice of thanksgiving, Lord (Lev 22:29), and I offer it freely and of my own will, I pay my vows to the Most High (Ps 50:14).

I thank You for You are good and Your mercy endureth forever (1 Chron 16:34).

I thank You, God, for the victory You give us through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Cor 15:57) and for Your unspeakable gift (2 Cor 9:15).

I thank You, Father, for making me meet to be a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in light (Col 1:2)

I thank You, Lord God Almighty, who is, who was and is to come, because You have taken to Yourself Your great power and have reigned (Rev 11:17)

I thank You, Father, for your love and your sacrifice: Your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, crucified so I can have eternal life (John 3:16).

I thank You, Father, for Your wondrous works: for raising Jesus from the dead on the third day (Acts 10:40)

I thank You, Jesus, for Your sacrifice of being crucified, of carrying the curse of sin and death, even though You had no sin. I thank You, Jesus, for the wounds You endured for my transgressions, for the bruising You suffered for my iniquities, for the stripes You bore for my healing, and for carrying the chastisement of my peace (Is 53:5).

I thank You, Jesus, for being the mediator of the new covenant between God and me, for being a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek, having an unchangeable priesthood, and making intercession for me with the Father (1 Tim 2:5, Heb 12:24, Heb 7:21,24,25).

I thank You, Holy Ghost, for being a witness for me, for giving me power (Acts 1:8), for being my Comforter (John 15:26), for helping my infirmities and interceding for me when I pray not as I ought, and with groanings I cannot utter (Rom 8:26).

I thank You, Holy Spirit, for Your manifestations: the word of wisdom, the word of knowledge, faith, the gift of healing, the working of miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, divers kinds of tongues and the interpretation of tongues – divide unto me as You will (1Cor 12:4-11).

I thank You, Lord, for my family: (name your family members) and our pets.

I thank You, Lord, for my extended family: (mothers, fathers, in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc.) and all of their families.

I thank You, Lord, for people in my circle: (name your close friends & acquintances) – and all of their families.

I thank You, Lord, for those in our fellowship: (name those in your cell, church, prayer group, etc.) – and all of their families.

I thank You, Lord, for teachers, first responders, doctors, firemen, emergency personnel, police and military that teach, protect and heal our kids, people, families and communities.

I thank You, Lord, for our government, with all its branches and roots, departments, and enterprises, for governing our country and leading our nation.

I thank You, Lord, for my health, my soul, my body, my spirit – that I am wonderfully and fearfully made (Ps 139:14).

I thank You, Lord, for knowing me before You formed me, for sanctifying me before I was born (Jer 1:15), for being my God from my mother’s belly, for covering and forming me in the womb (Ps 22:10).

I thank You, Lord, for choosing me before the foundation of the world, that I should be holy and blameless before You, in love (Eph 1:4).

I thank You for Your protection over me, for Your forgiveness, for Your guidance, for being with me, even when I was not with You (Ps 103). I thank You for Your patience in bringing me back to You, and for Your love in knowing I am dust. Thank You that I have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine that was delivered to me and that I am no more a servant of sin, but a servant of righteousness (Rom 6:17).

Thank You for enriching me in everything to all bountifulness (2 Cor 9:11).

Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honour and power and might be unto You, Lord God Almighty, for ever and ever (Rev 7:12).

Amen
