I don't have time to READ the Bible as much as I would want to. So I LISTEN to the Bible on my way to work. It is just over an hour's drive if the traffic is cooperating, and being as blessed as I am, it is most days.
I'm on my second listen through the Bible and it is amazing how many new things you hear. Don't think if you've read the Bible once, that is enough. No, every time you read a scripture, God will use it to speak to you differently.
That's what makes this book so enduring.
It's written over thousands of years, with the final additions made almost 2000 years ago. But the Author is still alive. And He visits everyone who reads His book personally.
There are 66 books in the Bible, with 1189 chapters. If I listen to at least 5 chapters per day, for 4 days a week, it would take me 59 weeks to listen through the Bible.
